Becoming involved with an oven cleaning franchise is a popular way to becoming your own boss.

There are however many aspects to consider before parting with money!!

A prime consideration before taking a decision should be to ask the franchise owner and of yourself, “Am I being asked to ‘buy’ an oven cleaning franchise or am I being invited to invest in my future?”

There is a gulf of difference between the two scenarios above.

If you feel that you are being “sold” an oven cleaning franchise then extreme caution should be exercised as this will probably mean that there is little or limited interest by the franchise owner towards your success. The up front fee to ‘buy’ the franchise may appear high for the returns you are likely to achieve. This scenario is where the oven cleaning franchise owner will make most of their intended profit, up front.

The good news however is that scenario two is very different indeed to scenario one. Typically, where the initial start-up fee is significantly more realistic and the owners of the oven cleaning franchise making it clear from the outset that the fees involved are an investment into the business. The wording here is very important. Generally speaking an investment is made with a long term objective of getting a significant return on the business when it is offered for sale. This could be after just a few years or a long time into the future.

Where an oven cleaning franchise owner has a sensible entry investment level, there is the potential for further investment into the business by way of time and capital to be made to grow the business over time and on a solid foundation. Conversely, where a ludicrous initial spend is required it will be unlikely that any residual capital exists to promote and market the venture and this, in turn, could lead to a rapid failure. This might suit the franchise owner as this unfortunate situation would give them the opportunity to re-sell the business in the failed territory (For another hefty upfront fee !!)

It will also be quite apparent that oven cleaning franchises that promote their brand extensively throughout the national media tend to offer their business owners a significantly better chance of success. There is only so much that a franchise owner can do locally to promote their services. A truly national brand with national recognition will bode well for any oven cleaning franchise when the time comes to realising the initial investment by way of a franchise resale. A well known branded business will have a higher value than a business that is relatively unknown!
