Deli franchise caters to Landis Avenue customers

The line at the grand opening of Bain’s Deli on Wednesday was almost as long as the list of takeout lunch orders.

Owner Russell Swanson and his staff scrambled to keep up.

That’s a good sign to Swanson and others, who say the new eatery’s arrival is the beginning of a culinary boom that will help revive the city’s struggling downtown. (more…)

Veteran Pet Butler Franchisee Niki Tudge Nominated For Franchise Association Honor

Pet Butler franchiseNiki Tudge, who operates a Pet Butler franchise in Florida, has been nominated by the company for the Franchisee of the Year award given by the International Franchise Association (IFA).

Tudge, the first Pet Butler franchisee, was chosen from among the operators of the nearly 80 company franchises around the country for the award, given each year by the IFA to an outstanding franchisee who best reflects the IFA’s values. Coworkers at the steak delivery shop thought he was joking. But, except for the part about being an emperor, he wasn’t.

The Sir Speedy located on West Lexington Avenue in High Point has been honored with the Sir Speedy Century Club Award, which recognizes Sir Speedy’s top 100 centers by sales. Sir Speedy has more than 1,000 locations in 18 countries.
