Rowland “Tre” Giller thinks he’s found a way to expand his homebuilding company beyond Central Ohio.

Giller is turning to a classic business model - franchising - to take Village Communities Real Estate Inc. into the faster-growing South and Mid-Atlantic regions. While the Westerville-based condominium builder is recognized locally thanks to its 24 communities scattered across Central Ohio, it is not known outside the region, Giller said.
