Laredo restaurant group to build 20 Church’s Chicken stores in Denver

A South Texas restaurant group has been awarded the franchise rights to develop 20 Church’s Chicken locations in the Denver metropolitan area by 2013.

Laredo-based Pollos Del Centro is in the process of building two new units that will open at the end of the year. The company will build free-standing units ranging in 1,500 to 2,000 square feet in size with a drive-through window.

Pollos Del Centro President Hugo Chaparro says his company has been Church’s Chicken franchisees for nearly 30 years. He looks forward to extending his company’s partnership in the Mile-High City.

Church’s Chicken was founded in San Antonio in 1952. Today, the Atlanta-based company is one of the largest quick-service chicken restaurant concepts in the world.
