Wings franchise plans 24 NE Florida restaurants

A South Florida restaurant chain specializing in chicken wings will open a Jacksonville location, the first of 24 planned restaurants in Northeast Florida.

Hurricane Grill and Wings will open its first Jacksonville restaurant in June. The chain has 15 restaurants across Florida, but its ambitious expansion plans go far beyond Jacksonville.

Hurricane Grill and Wings plans to open 400 new restaurants in the next five years. Its initial focus, beyond Florida, is on Nevada and Georgia.

The chain signed Piero Hazrati to handle the franchise area, which includes Northeast Florida, Puerto Rico and the southern portions of Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Hazrati has experience with franchising Cold Stone Creamery.

“Hurricane Grill and Wings is the perfect opportunity to work with a proven franchiser and enhance a franchise network that is poised for aggressive growth,” Hazrati said.

The chain is looking for franchisees. The franchise fee is $30,000 and the typical investment is $275,000 to $550,000.
