Dunkin’ Donuts to open a store in Fairfield County

With two Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants currently open throughout the Columbus area, the number one retailer of hot coffee-by-the-cup in America has announced plans to open an additional 83 franchise locations in the next five years, including a store in Fairfield County.

The announcement in the Columbus market is part of an aggressive national growth strategy. The company is expanding in new markets including Tennessee, Ohio, North and South Carolina, with plans to ultimately triple the number of Dunkin’ Donuts stores in the United States to 15,000 by 2020. The Columbus market is an important hub and a gateway to expansion west of the Mississippi.

The new restaurants will resemble a prototype that was unveiled in 2005 and is reminiscent of company roots that date over 55 years. The new design features a new, modernized appearance and advanced equipment, resulting in an improved overall in-store and drive-thru experience.
Dunkin’ Donuts is currently seeking new franchisees with multi-unit franchise capability and experience to develop the local Dunkin’ Donuts network. Area developers with a keen understanding and background in restaurant operations and real estate development are ideal.
